Standards · The Marketplace

Two-sided. One body.

YogaPros is a marketplace, not a flat register. Verified teachers on one side. The institutions that need them — studios, gyms, corporates, retreats, government — on the other. The body sits between.

The two sides

Supply & demand · held by one body.

Most accreditation bodies sit only on the supply side — they certify teachers and stop. The Order-3 move is to sit on both sides at once. The supply side trusts the body to keep the standards. The demand side trusts the body to find the teachers.

Supply side · the teachers.

Ten thousand verified teachers across a hundred countries. Live CV, grade, accreditation, insurance — all held publicly, verified by a person, time-stamped. The body holds the standards. The teachers carry them.

Demand side · the institutions.

Studios hiring on the record. Gyms screening for cover. Corporates running wellbeing programmes. Retreats vetting lead teachers. Government departments (prisons, schools, NHS) procuring on verified credentials. The institutions come to the body because the body has done the verification.

Airbnb and Uber sit between two sides. So do we. The difference: our marketplace is held to a published institutional standard, not to a star rating.

Why the two-sided frame is a moat

What flat registers cannot copy.

01 · Verification

Both sides see verified records.

A flat register is a list. A marketplace requires verification both ways — the teacher knows the studio is a YogaPros institutional partner; the studio knows the teacher’s record is verified. Trust flows both ways.

02 · Compound effects

More teachers, more demand. More demand, more teachers.

Two-sided marketplaces compound. A flat register doesn’t. Every additional verified teacher makes the marketplace more attractive to studios; every additional partner studio makes membership more valuable to teachers.

03 · Institutional moat

Twenty years of verification cannot be replicated quickly.

A new entrant cannot buy twenty years of verified credential records, twenty years of audited standards-of-conduct decisions, twenty years of partnership history with institutions. The marketplace is the moat.

04 · Above the line

Body before transaction.

The body sits above both sides. Standards are set independently of either side. When a teacher’s conduct falls short — we audit, regardless of how much the studio wants to keep them. When a studio’s conduct falls short — we de-partner, regardless of how many teachers it has. The body holds the line.

A two-sided marketplace held to an institutional standard. Not a directory. Not an accreditation list. A working body that operates at the altitude of a Royal College for the professional yoga field.
